Thoughts On My Head

Some quick hitting thoughts for this week…

Hunt and seek the things and the people that make you happy.

The days and the week go by so fast and so hard, and it is tough. What gets us through ultimately, even if we don’t realise it, are the people in our lives. We are driven by the people in our lives. They make our days and our lives. Sometimes we get caught in the rat race and forget, especially when things get hectic and challenging.

But I thought about it. There are people in your life that love you. You must really focus on them and give them the attention they deserve, because they are your fuel.

You will also find that there are one or two other things that help. For me one of the activities I like is football. It helps me to unwind.

Rest is also good. So, I try hunt these things and try to do them whenever it is possible.

School is the pathway

As we head back to school after this long Easter weekend, my thought is that school is the passport to dreams. School is the pathway that you can use to go places and chase your dreams.

And that is my message to children as they head back to school.

Somehow for us this wasn’t a message that we were told when we were growing up. For myself who dreamed of playing professional football.

For the young aspiring actors, musicians, athletes school was the important thing over your hopes and dreams.

This is the message that usually given to child by parents here in our countries. You have to be a doctor or a lawyer. If you are not aiming for that you are wasting time. Go to school, finish school first and then you will do other things.

I was never trying to hear this message and the more I heard it the more I hated it in as a result school. That is what kids are facing. I spoke to a player and he said he doesn’t like school. He wants to just focus on football.

Dreams need constant motivation and inspiration to survive and they need to be acknowledged. Then they must be supported.

It is not a rosy staircase, but in most cases people who work hard will achieve. After all, with the right kind of guidance and consistent efforts from an individual, no dream is too big to achieve.

School is cool because it allows you to go places.
